This series captures the essence of Nichiren Buddhism's inclusive spirit, a practice I've been deeply involved with for over five years. Through my lens, I explore the intersection of gender, sexuality, and faith within the queer community of my Buddhist organisation, Soka Gakkai. This series is born from my fascination with the diverse backgrounds and stories of individuals who, like myself, were drawn to a practice that champions equality and the happiness of all beings. Each portrait and dialogue reveals a unique narrative of belonging and acceptance in a space where faith transcends traditional boundaries. This project not only showcases the beauty of diversity within Nichiren Buddhism but also aims to inspire and educate others about the transformative power of a truly inclusive spiritual practice.
